“Neste último sábado (27), às 20h30, o mundo todo apagou suas luzes em sinal de apoio a um movimento que pede uma transição energética urgente com a deixa das usinas hidrelétricas e aquisição de fontes renováveis como a energia solar, eólica e biomassa, com o intuito de amenizar os efeitos causados pelo uso indevido dos recursos do planeta na geração de energia.
Usinas hidrelétricas sendo substituídas
Grande parte dos países tem como principal fonte energética os combustíveis fósseis, já o Brasil tem como predominância fontes renováveis como, exemplo, a energia solar e eólica. Entretanto, para atender ao crescimento da demanda e garantir segurança energética, a diversificação das fontes também se faz urgente.
Élbia Gannoum, presidente da Associação Brasileira de Energia Eólica (Abeeólica), afirma: “As fontes hidrelétricas estão praticamente esgotadas, nós usamos todos os recursos viáveis do ponto de vista econômico, social e ambiental”.
Essa transformação já vem acontecendo nos últimos 21 anos, período em que as hidrelétricas, passaram a representar 60,9% de todas as fontes de geração elétrica, o que antes era 82,9%. Dando espaço à energia eólica com participação de 9,6%, a biomassa que atualmente representa 8,6% e a energia solar, com 4,4%. Segundo Carlos Pires, diretor do Departamento de Desenvolvimento Energético do Ministério de Minas e Energias (MME).
Passaram a ter espaço, ao lado das Hidrelétricas, outras fontes não renováveis, mas segundo Carlos Pires, nesses casos foram estimuladas as fontes com menor emissão, como é o caso do gás natural que cresceu de 2,7% para 8,3%.
“A geração distribuída é uma vocação da fonte de energia solar e a eólica tem uma vocação de grande escala, porque as turbinas são melhores que as das hidrelétricas, do ponto de vista técnico e econômico, quando encontra ventos melhores e esses ventos estão localizados, ao passo que o sol está distribuído”, afirma a presidente da Abeeólica.
Uso de fontes renováveis no Brasil é três vezes maior que no mundo
Nos últimos anos no Brasil as fontes renováveis de energia alcançaram uma demanda de 46,1 de participação na Matriz Energética. As fontes de energia renováveis, incluem a energia solar, eólica e biomassa e hidráulica. O indicador brasileiro representa três vezes o mundial.
Chegou a 294 milhões a demanda total de energia, mostrando crescimento de 1,4% sobre 2018. A energia solar cresceu 92% e a eólica 15,5%. Somadas, ambas contribuíram com 50% do aumento da participação das renováveis na matriz.
Crescimento da biomassa no Brasil
Cresceu em 3%, em 2019 quando comparado ao ano anterior, a geração de energia das usinas térmicas movidas à biomassa. Ao todo o Brasil produziu 3.108,6 MW médios através da biomassa, superando o resultado de 3.007,1 MW médios de 2018. Os números foram divulgados pela Câmara de Comércio de Energia Elétrica (CCEE).
Tal crescimento decorre principalmente da ampliação do número de empreendimentos dedicados à produção de energia a partir da biomassa, sendo 295 usinas contabilizadas em dezembro de 2019.
Na análise regional, o estado de São Paulo é o maior produtor de energia pela fonte, alcançando 1.391 MW médios no período, crescimento de 5%. A região possui 41% da capacidade instalada das usinas do tipo no país. Mato Grosso do Sul aparece em segundo lugar com 514,9 MW médios, e Minas Gerais, com 390,4 MW médios. Completando a lista dos maiores geradores de biomassa no ano de 2019″.
