“A geração de energia com uso de placas fotovoltaicas foi a solução encontrada para que o assentamento Estrela da Lua, no Distrito Federal, conseguisse bombear toda a água necessária para a irrigação das culturas exploradas por oito famílias. “Foi o primeiro assentamento a receber sistema de bombeamento a energia solar”, afirma Tupac Borges Petrillo, coordenador do programa de incentivo a energias renováveis da Emater-DF.
Iniciada em 2020, em meio à pandemia, a instalação do sistema foi realizada pela Água Solar, de Belo Horizonte (BH), vencedora da licitação promovida pela Emater-DF. A inauguração oficial ainda não ocorreu, mas o sistema já está em operação e a geração fotovoltaica deverá gerar uma economia anual em torno de R$ 4,8 mil, a valores atuais, com redução nas despesas com energia. Antes disso, as famílias assentadas captavam água pluvial em uma caixa d’água de 16 mil litros. Nos períodos de seca, tinham que percorrer, uma vez por semana, 10 quilômetros para buscar água e encher a caixa”.
A instalação realizada pela empresa Água Solar, melhorou as condições de vida de diversas famílias na região.
“[…] O consumo de água de qualidade reduziu a incidência de doenças no rebanho, melhorou o pasto e aumentou a produção, elevando a produtividade média por animal de 18 para 20 litros por dia. “Como são 50 vacas em lactação, isso significou 100 litros por dia a mais”, diz Pellizzaro. O investimento, estimado entre R$ 7 mil a R$ 8 mil na época, se pagou em 10 meses.
